Assorted miscellany that mix nicely with others. Eye for an Eye Ud 09/11/13

These could go somewhere in past posts but as they didn't have any identification to barge past the bouncers, this is the result.

Frustrated, they decided to occupy their own two part episode.

Where necessary, commentary will naturally accompany.

For starters, an obvious connection...

This is a Reaper, a new breed of vampire who doesn't have any particular dietary requirements from so-so sequel to Blade.

The Majini from Resident Evil: Afterlife, previously lifted from failed experiment Resident Evil 5.  It seems he shares similar mouthy problems.

You may already be aware of this ridiculous 'coincidence' but hey ho.

This is part of Raphael's masterpiece, The Cardinal and Theological Virtues.  Look to the figure at the top left hand corner.

It appears that Mr Sylvester Stallone is centuries old...

Salvador Dali's The Dali Skull.

This iconic piece was famously used in the poster to Jonathan Demme's The Silence of the Lambs.

You can now appreciate that the eerie skull on the real Death's Head Hawkmoth is quite different.

It enjoyed appearing in other places...

A promotional poster for a very good 2005 British horror.  What a shame it was murdered by Part 2 in 2009.  Of course, no sequel has ever done that before.  Ha ha!

The best example comes from the re-enactment in the music video to Kasabian's Me Plus One.

As a side note, Lil Wayne thought it best to use the actual moth for his album, I Am Not a Human Being II.

The back of psychotic Max Cady, expertly portrayed by De Niro in the 1991 remake of Cape Fear.

It's not really the same but the principle remains on the sleeve of this 2005 horror.

Here is the mutated Alexander Ashford known as Nosferatu from Resident Evil Code: Veronica.  To me, this is when zombies busting reached its peak.

Closely followed by other blindfolds...

In a certain World Cup qualifier in 2001, nobody can ever forget this scoreline.

Flipping the referee's coin, this of course can easily happen in pixels.  Forget about FIFA and Pro Evo, this is SNK's The Ultimate 11.

The woman holding the concrete saw and guy taking five on a chair in respective sleeves just have a strange resemblance.

Some more frightening coincidences...

The Danish to English translation of the former is Terribly Happy.

Renton's life is going literally down the toilet in Danny Boyle's Trainspotting.

Meet Chief Mendez, big cheese bad ass from Capcom's Resident Evil 4...

...has a long lost relative in American actor Sid Haig.

Did Capcom model Mendez on Mr Haig?  I suppose there's an outside chance.

Captain Benjamin L. Willard (Martin Sheen) emerging in Coppola's seminal war epic Apocalypse Now.

Some referrals.

Television show Mad Dogs swaps water for sand.

Water a coincidence as the album Spiderland from Slint more than proves.

Waldo from Charlie Brooker's Black Mirror.

'Where's Waldo?'  Oh, here he is.

Same idea, different album and artist.

The final part will make itself known shortly.
