Video game mistakes - Take 1

With me around - no generation is safe.

Grammar

Alan Wake (Xbox 360)
If you have seen (Richard Baugh, Bruce Dansky or Jacob Miller) or know their whereabouts, please call 555-9932!!!
THANK YOU!
Trouble is, poster has no exclamation mark.
Alien: Isolation (Various)
In this context, 'creatures' should read creature's.
Bram Stoker's Dracula (SNES/Mega Drive)
Same kind of thing here, as Stokers should be Stoker's.
G.I. Joe (Arcade)

Profile correctly displays geezer's code-name as Snake-Eyes.
But.

Player select is hyphen phobic.
Super Mario World 2; Yoshi's Island (SNES)
Paradise is where all the Yoshies live.
Jump to 2002 GBA remake.

Super Mario Advance 3: Yoshi's Island
Rewritten blurb claims a paradise where all the Yoshis live.
(Frowns).

Miscellany

Double Dragon II: The Revenge (Arcade)

Billy and Jimmy's in-game sprites.
End screen tells a different story.

Clobber has changed and look at those fucking barnets.
Dragon's Lair II: Time Warp (Arcade)

The Garden of Eden is forbodden.
Soon after, it's forbidden.
Why did gaffe exist in the first place?

Very odd.

Ikari Warriors (Arcade)
Ralf and Clark's gunfire correspond to respective red and blue headbands.
Exactly what you wouldn't expect.
Operation Wolf (Arcade)

Roy Adams prepares to cock Uzi.
Which shouldn't cause firearm to magically extend.
Superman (Arcade)

A ganbling hall at a casino?
No way.
But even better.

During boss battle, sign advertises cosino.
Ha ha ha!

Fatal Fury (SNES)
Japanese name is Garou Densetsu.
Nettou Real Bout Garou Densetsu Special (Game Boy)
The first thing that bothers me is that Japanese exclusive simply states Real Bout Special, rather importantly - omitting the Fatal Fury brand.
Also, Neo Geo original was released in 1997, not 1996.
Capcom Fighting Jam (PS2)

As logos are specific.

Street Fighter Alpha
Sakura didn't feature until Alpha 2 and similarly, Karin was first introduced in Alpha 3.
Street Fighter III: New Generation
Urien was first in 2nd Impact and Chun-Li didn't show up until 3rd Strike.
I'm very confused.

Gekido Advance: Kintaro's Revenge (GBA)

Early on, we see tuft of hair poking clearly poking through antagonist's bandages.
Later, it's gone.
Here's another continuity problem.

Prince of Persia (Mega CD)

After slaying Jaffar, sword (and more importantly) hero is splattered with villain's blood.
What happens next?

Claret has gone.
Knights of the Round

Who knows why, but some stage names were changed for home port.

                        Arcade                                        SNES

Stage 2     Confused Fight                          A Desperate Fight
Stage 4     Knights festival                         The Knight's Tournaments
Stage 5     Expedition                                 The Expedition
Stage 6     Knights in the Strange Land      Knights in a Strange Land

Bizarre yes, but obviously not mistakes.

However...

Arcade
It has been said that only the man who is destined to be the king can pull out the sacred sword "Excalibur" from the rock.
Rock?

(Laughs raucously).

And there was me thinking that Arthur pulled pointy stick from the stone.

Capcom righted wrong in the amazing SNES conversion.
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (PS1)

Conclusion of European/North American intro omits subtitle.
That makes no sense.

Especially when title screen begs to differ.
Yours truly made some alterations.

Perfection.
If there's nothing in this, then why did GBA entry Harmony of Dissonance take a different approach?

See subtitle?
I sure do.
(Smiles).

Creators of Netflix series took obvious inspiration.

Expect season 2 in summer.

Back to it.

Beezelbub or Beelzebub?
Just why?
This is just funny.

Description informs Medusa Head is from Medusa's hair.
Remarkable.

Finishing with.

I smell you're blood.
I smell a ridiculous balls up.
Turrican (PC Engine)

(From left to right), check out obscure port's ending.

You'd think tower would require a serious paint job.

But...

Structure isn't even scratched.
Most ineffective explosion EVER.

Does less protracted sequence in C64 original fare better?

Yes.

Until next time.
