Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe - The scoop and digest

16 years after they did America, new directing duo John Rice and Albert Calleros bring sniggering slackers back for more mayhem.

Mike Judge - Beavis, Butthead etc
Gary Cole - Mattison
Nat Faxon - Jim Hartson
Chi McBride - Judge Metcalf
Andrea Savage - Serena Ryan

Summary

In 1998, Beavis and Butt-Head cause an explosion at Highland High School.

Considered at-risk, the lads are sentenced to 8 weeks at space camp and become astronauts.

After a docking sequence goes hideously wrong, NASA Captain Serena Ryan leaves fools to the mercy of boundless infinity.

Several days later, they're sucked into a butthole, sorry black hole, and emerge in present day Galveston.

Intelligent versions of themselves explain they have two days to enter a time portal or the multiverse can kiss its ass goodbye.

But they've got more important things on horny minds, like scoring with Serena.

Touched by an Angel

Dumb and satisfying - it's nearly brilliant.

Teleplay by Mike Judge and Lew Morton is for the most part sharper than a tack, brimming with hilarious immaturity fart-knockers are synonymous for.

Once iPhone is acquired, Beavis accidentally activates Siri (mistaking voice for Serena) and has a deep and meaningful with virtual assistant.

Another sequence that works is the boys interrupting a gender studies class and lecture on 'white privilege' makes them think they're above the law.

Oops.

Even if third act dragged, grab several bowls of cheesy nachos and enjoy.
