Summary
After his wife is killed by a Red Wizard, Edgin (Thief) forms a team consisting of Holga (Barbarian), Simon (Sorcerer), Forge (Conman) and Sofina (Wizard) to steal the Tablet of Reawakening.
Edgin and Holga are captured and imprisoned in the process, while the rest escape.
Two years later, Forge has become the Lord of Neverwinter. He double crosses them and orders their execution.
However, Holga orchestrates freedom.
They reunite with Simon and meet tiefling druid Doric, who is able to shapeshift into various animals.
By hook or by crook, Forge is going down.
Mid-credits
A talisman's corpse begs to be asked one more question to send him back to death.
Disjunctional family
Ropey CG doesn't ruin a surprisingly good time.
Guardians of the Galaxy, Indiana Jones and particularly The Princess Bride are obvious influences.
Dialogue is amusing, characters are likeable and Hugh Grant chews up the scenery.
The bowels of the Underdark features salad dodging dragon Themberchaud.
At one point, monster falls to a lower level and leaps at somebody with snapping jaws, identical to a Raptor in Jurassic Park.
While in the arena, a Mimic opens up and a Displacer Beast causes mischief.
Paramount+ series has already been confirmed, but details are currently unknown.
