'Almost' every film Resident Evil ripped off

Resi 7 will only be briefly touched upon, as I've already smashed that.

Give it a click.

http://nukesandknives.blogspot.com/2017/06/resident-evil-7-biohazard-go-tell-aunt.html

Okay, here goes.

Resident Evil (1996)

Raiders of the Lost Ark

Everybody should know this one.

In different circumstances, it happens again in Resi 4.
How about this?

Eye (in this case Chris's), became staple diet.
Did they...

...steal idea from the title sequence of Roman Polanski's Repulsion?
In case you're wondering, visual aid belongs to Catherine Deneuve's Carole.

Who knows?

But mine's a pint for thinking of it.

Resident Evil 2

Now things pick up more than a forklift truck.

Alien

Makeshift chestburster literally splits these guys in two.

Ben
Chief Irons
The Terminator

Here's a snippet of CGI intro.

Maniac zombie (who at some point miraculously passed HGV test), fails to kill Claire and Leon.

And.

Okay, order and circumstances are obviously different, but is principle?

Nah.

Jaws

If bombarded with enough ammo, pesky alligator will retreat, but it's much easier to kill pseudo boss in the traditional way.
Release high pressure gas cylinder and monster will take the bait.
Smile you son of a bitch!
How many times have I seen Bruce go boom?
Put it this way - lots.
Okay, okay.

Lewis Teague's Alligator is probably the best Jaws rip off.

Like Bruce, animatronic beastie often malfunctioned.
Dynamite ends interest inside sewer.
Sounds a little too convenient to me.

For fun.

Game.com
The Darkside Chronicles
Terminator 2: Judgment Day

Leon and Ada's peaceful tram ride is rudely interrupted by William, as monster blindly pokes arm through roof.
Attack feels very similar to T-1000 doing the same in lift.
The Thing (1982)

This is more generic than clear cut, but whatever.

Check out head melded inside Birkin
Blair Thing
Return of the Jedi

Birkin's true final form makes little mischief on a train.
After taking a few caps in ugly ass, CG ending follows.
Now then.

Sarlaac Pit Monster.
It's even worse in The Darkside Chronicles.
Resident Evil 3: Nemesis

This never gets boring.

Nemesis vs Chatterer (Hellraiser)

Terminator 2: Judgment Day

Umbrella covers their tracks by nuking Raccoon City.
Sarah's nuclear nightmare.
A few snippits from Aliens.

Code: Veronica
Chris finds Claire cocooned.
Resi 7
Ethan wound up having the same problem.
Resident Evil 0

Obscurity bites hard.

James Marcus' mimicry (left), and to his right is zomibified Detective Cameron (Night of the Creeps).

Former is composed of leeches and after the latter dies, slugs crawl away.

Holy shit.

They even look alike.

Resident Evil 4

One of the greatest action games of all time has its fingers in so many pies.

The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring

El Gigante

Cave troll

Aliens

Sadler impaling Luis with spiked tentacle is nigh on identical to Queenie staking Bishop.

Which brings me to Verdugo.

Predator

Mandibles interest me.
Because they look like...

One ugly motherfucker.
Also.

If similarities to Alien during boss fight aren't obvious enough, tail is definitely the deal breaker.
But wait.

Terminator 2: Judgment Day

After being frozen and shot once too often, baddie explodes into a thousand fragments.
Hasta la vista, baby.
Total Recall (1990)

Mad monks attempt to kill Leon using death machine.
Benny's digging apparatus.
Or maybe.

Labyrinth

The Cleaners
Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom

Ceiling trap.
Willie eventually rescues Indy and Short Round from a 'serious' situation.
Wide shot.
Last but not least.

Commando

Leon and Krauser engage in a superb knife fight.
Matrix and Bennett dance a similar waltz.
Resident Evil 5

Back with T2.

Wesker wallows in molten hell.
T-1000 takes his last bath.
Jake from the incredibly bad Res 6.
The Matrix

Wesker's dodging skills employs afterimaging.
Agent Jones' superhuman abilities allows program to effortlessly dodge bullets.
Jurassic Park

Endings have always followed a familiar pattern, but here, it's really near the knuckle.

Chopper flying over sea into the sunset?

Yeah.

Revelations

Scagdead is clearly The Thing-esque.
Head shape makes Malacoda guilty of stealing Alien.
Outbreak

The old chestbursting chestnut returns, but blatancy should be commended.

Resident Evil 7: Biohazard (DLC)

End of Zoe

The Fly (1986)

Not a Hero

The Thing (1982)

For a mutated Lucas - it's game over.
Splitface
Jack (in main game), gave psychotic son inspiration.
The grand finale.

Resident Evil (Gamecube remake)

Lisa Trevor marks the end of The Thing.

Thank Christ.

Deep Blue Sea

Assuming Chris gave Richard the serum, Mr. Aitken (for some fucking reason) heads to the Aqua Ring, where dinner is served for Mother Neptune.

Franklin's death took everybody by complete surprise.

Less speech calling for unity, Capcom decided to recreate it.

If player dicks around too much outside control room, this happens.

Ah. Dessert.
Ouch.

Warning. Danger.
Deep fucking shit imminent.
Roughly translated.

Super intelligent Mako fires Professor Selvig to land game, shot and the match.
Facility is subsequently flooded.

If water is not drained in time, Mother Neptune will bring a game over.
Can't believe I'm saying this, but...

Jaws 3
Proof is in dirty pudding.

Generator unit will give big bastard volts she'll never forget.
Self defense gun will also do the job, but that's boring.

Anyway, death is derivative of:

Shark chewing on electrical cable.
Jill can 'kill' Nemesis using the cord in Resi 3.

As a side note, Juggernaut gets a shock up his ass in Deadpool 2.

Check out corpse(s).

Mother Neptune
Second shark
Identical.

All of which probably saw Jaws 2.
